Genaro Trejo is the Editor of Megacity Review, a non-profit literary and arts journal that highlights underrepresented voices within urban spaces. Megacity Review curates a mix of art and writing from diverse perspectives, blending commentary on city life with an emphasis on social justice. Under his leadership, Megacity Review has aimed to build a platform for marginalized voices, creating a high-quality publication while collaborating with some of the country's top cultural institutions.From 2015 to 2019, Genaro served as Chief Operating Officer at Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), where he oversaw all programming and operations for HOLA’s 100 staff and volunteers, spearheading innovative projects like the construction of a 24,000 square foot arts and entertainment facility made entirely from refurbished shipping containers. He also managed HOLA's relationships with strategic partners like the Los Angeles Philharmonic, AEG, The Weingart Foundation, and the City of Los Angeles. HOLA serves 1,200 students (K-12) and their families in one of the most densely populated and underserved areas in the United States.Genaro was a graduate fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds degrees from The University of Chicago and UCLA. A Los Angeles native, he serves on the Board of Trustees at the California State Bar and heads the investment committee at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice.
