As the adults go to bed and the lights go out, the house is filled with the blue light of screens. Usually, it’s youtube, video games, or netflix, but at 17 years of age, I found myself working on the new Mario project for my highschool Java class. Never in all of grade school would I imagine doing extra homework for school. It wasn’t even assigned or expected, it just never felt like work, I was having fun. It still doesn’t feel like work. Computer science for me, is a never ending abyss of tinkering and learning, a seemingly infinite sandbox for you to play in, share, and help others with.Economics also didn’t feel like work, so I decided to pursue it in college, but the closer I got to the finance industry, the more I realized that instead of analyzing and funding other people's ideas, I wanted more to help build those ideas.
