It has been a joy to teach various courses in Buddhist philosophy and meditation in Centre Tcheukor Ling Toulouse, Ass. Garuda in Monaco, Centre Kalachakra Paris, the Maitreya Instituut in the Netherlands, and varIous centres in the US. Throughout the year I guide meditation retreats in France, the Netherlands and the USA on vipassana (insight-meditation, mindfulness), shamatha (concentration practice) and Lam Rim (graduated path to enlightenment).

During this year I travelled extensively through Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, depending foremost on hitchhiking, local resources and connections to get to know the region, its stories, thought and challenges, from art scene, to bedouin life, to war zone and everything in between.

A year of hitchhiking from the jungles of mega cities to lost cities in jungles, from the melancholy of jazz to the rapture of habanera and from armed hold-ups to a journey with a Guatemalan jaguar.
