A maritime technical operations professional with sea going experience as Marine Chief Engineer (COC Class 1) both international and regional Offshore Energy Oil & Gas sectors. With full exposure to fleet operations and maintenance management. Extensively overseeing repairs, refurbishment / conversions, new construction of all vessel types inclusive of PSV's, AHTS vessels; lift boats; Jack-up barges, Diving Service Vessels with specialized mooring and dynamic positioning systems. Responsibilities inclusive of: Management of special technical personnel and offshore vessel crews thru marine supervisors planned and managed schedules for project work for vessels in wet or dry berth under surveyor inspections with classification Societies / MCA / USCG as well as surveys and inspections in accordance with IMO / SOLAS / MARPOL rules and Flag State regulations. Heading marine operations, maintenance and technical management over a period of more than thirty years I have been responsible for vessel refits, conversions, refurbishment; design, new construction in accordance with classification / IMO rules. Involved in training technical personnel. Fully aware in the implementation of ISM Code / Vessel Maintenance Programs. Had position of DP providing HSEQ / ISPS training to vessel crews and shore-based staff for enhancement of safe vessel operations. Manage development and monitoring marine projects to vessel-specific maintenance procedures, routine schedules of tests / inspections enabling smooth fleet operations. Senior management duties included vessel acquisition inspection; scheduling; preparation / submittal of annual budgetary estimates per vessel operational costs for fleet. While in tenure gained broad exposure to maritime consultations for offshore vessel warranties, engineering inspections, audits, damage surveys and newbuild projects. Recently in asset management projects for specific UK vessel operators/owners. Currently home-based in search of new job opportunities.
