I was responsible for the quality functions of two casting facilities producing sales of over $55M. External quality was improved by over 60%, customer complaints were reduced over 75%, internal scrap was reduced, and our audit scored were improved. We used lean and six sigma methodology to continue our improvement process.

I worked with a motivated team to run a die casting facility of approximated 110 people prducing sales of $27M. We redced internal scrap by over 40%, reduced external PPM by over 50%, and improved labor productivity 15%. We installed metrics that feed information to the plant floor to address small problems before they become unmanagable or to prevent them from occurring.We had multiple lean/six sigma teams that worked to resolve problems and organize our facility. We saved over $250K in increased efficiency and decreased scrap through the efforts of the teams.

Responsible for operations and profitablilty of the Die Casting division at Kurt Manaufacturing. Updated automation and trained personnel to efficiently operate robots and new automation equipment.

Managed a die cast facility with an annual sales capacity of $30,000,000/year. The plant had 125 employees and I had a staff of 10 direct reports. The position responsibilities included complete P&L authority, business and capital planning, operations, safety, personnel evaluation and recruitment, and customer interaction. Acheived safety performance of zero lost time accidents, Justified, planned, and coordinated installation of major capital equipment. Planning included resource allocations, training requirements for all involved personnel, preventative maintenance planning, determination of critical spares, and documenting and tracking the timeline. Installation coordination included scheduling outside contractors, vendor technicians, internal maintenance personnel, and minimizing production interruptions.
