Assists with annual budget process that is relative to the engineering department.Assists with the maintenance and configuration of network devices,hubs, switches and routers.Prepares network notifications, forms and outage tickets for work being performed in maintenance windows.Tests and maintains optical rings, add drop multiplexes and powersystems.Installs and maintains equipment needed to be utilized by the Network Engineering Department.Supports local installation and maintenance of facilities andtransport systems. Understands customer devices such as required (CPE configuration,gateways/routers, VoIP and video communication units.

Provides application support for various platforms,Performs advanced-level network diagnostics to identify and resolvenetwork configuration issues from the modem to the Internet backbone(e.g. misallocated IP, duplicate IP, router configuration, etc.).- Possesses an excellent knowledge of windows and Macintosh operatingsystems, internet/IP, web browsers, e-mail and other PC operating andconnectivity technologies.
