I've always believed in the motto that hard work pays off! A strong work ethic was ingrained in me since my youth by both my father & grandfather who were blue-collar workers that believed a young man should have a trade to fall back on. My father was a U.S. Army veteran who upon his return from Vietnam decided to join a biker club (he was quite the character) and began his career as a signmaker. I grew up learning the signage industry by first sweeping the floors of the sign shop as a young boy. I still remember my father grabbing the broom and telling me, "if you're going to be a floor sweeper, be the best damn floor sweeper there is!" My grandfather was in the carpenters union. He taught me all about construction and gave me the wise words of; "measure twice and cut once, boy."There are many other words of wisdom from my personal, professional and Christian mentors that have stuck with me and honestly catapulted me through my career transitions in both the military and civilian sectors. No matter the task that is at hand, I always give it everything I have, because I know 99.99% is just not good enough!
