• Manage and reconcile various accounts: prepaid & accrued expenses, long & short-term notes payable, income tax payable, and interest payable.• Responsible for monitoring and updating the GL including posting and/or reviewing necessary journal entries and supporting schedules.• Drive and coordinate month end closing to be completed within 3 business days.• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages to be reviewed by the Director of Finance. • Distribute departmental P&L statements on a monthly basis to appropriate managers and assist in reviewing their expenses.• Assist with analyzing SG&A expenses.• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedule.• Prepare weekly AP Cash Forecast.• Organize and lead audit preparation.• Supervise AR & AP accountant.• Manage chart of accounts.• Reconcile deductions taken off payments; MCBs. • Participate in month end closing duties, creating accrual and reclass journal entries relating to prepaids, AP, 401K, workers comp, and credit cards.• Code and post all A/P invoices into the general ledger.• Input all A/P invoices for approval within 1 business day of receipt using M-Files, then ensuring that all invoices receive proper approvals.• Prioritize invoices for payment by running and reviewing aging report.• Perform weekly wires & check runs.• Vendor statement reconciliation.• Review and create proper entry of company credit card charges.• Promptly respond to inquiries from other departments as well as vendors to resolve any discrepancies.• Prepare annual 1099s.

• Process all A/P invoices while obtaining necessary approvals required by company policy and ensuring correct ledger accounts before posting batches in MAS90.• Monitor and maintain cash balances for multiple bank accounts, both foreign and domestic.• Prioritize invoices for payment by running and reviewing an aging report, perform weekly check runs and mail checks.• Maintain credit card accounts and perform reconciliations of various accounts.• Generate journal entries for posting.• Review and process expense reimbursement reports.• Track purchase orders from start through closing.• Manage vendor relations for prompt resolution of invoice issues.• Communicate with departments within the organization to ensure smooth processes.• Provide month end close data and maintain accounting file system.• Prepare year-end taxable fringe benefit report for review by management.• Process annual 1099s.

• Responsible for the data entry of all A/P invoices for a 100 retail stores averaging 800 daily.• Create positive vendor relations to help resolve invoice conflicts. • Assist in entering claim vouchers for product returns.• Responsible for running aging reports by vendor and performing weekly reconciliations of statements.• Responsible for all filing of daily processed invoice batches & EOD paperwork.• Ensure accuracy on our company’s voucher by comparing to the vendor’s invoice.• Quantifying price variances from quantity variances.• Posting of daily batches in MAS 90. • Making sure that the amount transferred from our Retail Pro system to our MAS 90 system balances.• Work in our warehouse removing boxes of old paperwork to be destroyed that are older than 3 years.
