Current• Successfully oversee front line daily operations for the largest retirement community in Michigan, with over 1,400 residents and 800+ employees. Responsible for the following departments: Security & Emergency Services, Maintenance, Engineering, Grounds, Communications/Concierge, Transportation, Housekeeping, Special Projects, Custom Interiors, and Reoccupancy. • Manage multiple separate budgets totaling nearly $20 million dollars. Including nearly $12 million dollars in capital budget expenditures and campus development projects.• Incident Command Member for Coronavirus (COVID-19) response within our at-risk community. This included proactive plan development, process roll out, and direct management of community Physical Security Access Controls, Health & Temperature Screening, Security/EMS response to COVID-Related Cases, Patient Identification, PPE Utilization, Workforce Management, and Contact Tracing.• Function as on-site Emergency Manager, creating and enacting Emergency Preparedness Plans, facilitating community drills, annual risk assessments / hazard assessments, and providing training classes to staff in workplace violence, human trafficking awareness, as well as company policy and procedure.• Responsible for all Life Safety and NFPA related requirements for our Independent Living residences and on-site Continuing Care facilities. This includes Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care floors. Regarded as the “gold standard” by state and local Fire Marshal offices, having received no rated citations during Life Safety CMS surveys.• Successfully conduct complex internal investigations for thefts, elder fraud, scam activity, workplace violence, and any additional criminal incidents. These investigations are done in tandem with local and federal law enforcement agencies.• Consistent Leader across the corporate enterprise in Resident Satisfaction and Employee Engagement. Employee Engagement is consistently above enterprise averages.
