I began my career in 1978 when I joined the U.S. Navy and served on board the USS Witchita AOR-1, I supervised five Signalman while deployed on GONZO (Gulf of Oman Naval Zone of Operations) Station during the Iran Hostage Crisis. After completing my naval service I entered law enforcement and also served in the Army National Guard, where I held to two MOS's (military occupations) as a wire systems installer and a Military Police Officer.In 1988 I completed my police academy training at the Chicago Police Academy and I served as a Police Officer for the Village of Fox River Grove, during my time there, I was assigned to the Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force. I then accepted a position with the Spring Grove Police Dept and served there as a Patrol Officer, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Officer, Juvenile Officer and Operation Lifesaver Presenter (Union Pacific Railroad safety). In 1998, I left full time police service and joined the Corporate Security Team with Monsanto Corporation where I was assigned to the Searle Pharmaceutical plant in Skokie Illinois as a security Supervisor and was later promoted to the regional training coordinator. Since 2003, I have worked as a private Security Consultant and a Security Officer for other pharmaceutical companies, including Catalent Technologies and Astellas Pharmaceuticals and also worked for PSC (Professional Security Consultants) as an Assistant Security Director for Joliet Mall. In 2013, I accepted a position with Loyola Academy as a Security Officer and also currently work as both and Auxilliary Police Officer and as a Part Time Police Officer for AG-Valley Railroad PD.
