Retired as Superintendent of the Mat-Su Borough School District, Alaska's second largest school district in 2017 after spending 12 years in MSBSD as a principal and District Office Administrator. After retiring from MSBSD I accepted a position with Lower Yukon School District and worked as HR Director for one year, followed by two years as the Chief of Operations in the Lower Yukon School District. On April 27, 2020 I accepted the Chief School Administrator position in the Lower Yukon School District. I first began my education career in the Lower Yukon working as a secondary teacher in Hooper Bay, Alaska for five years. The Lower Yukon is one of the most beautiful parts of Alaska and it is exciting to return to the area I first began as an educator. As the Chief School Administrator I will oversee all management functions for Lower Yukon School District and hope to provide the best support possible for the students and employees of the Lower Yukon School District.
