As a partner at ABFit Products, I generated intellectual property and developed electro-mechanical bio-metric IoT sensor products for the diagnosis of factors leading to lower back pain and the measurement of back injury rehabilitation. ABFit technology has grown from University of Arkansas research to a commercially viable product within the span of 3 years. I authored the company’s first provisional and utility patent applications and developed the next generation of IoT enabled portable measurement equipment which integrate telemetric sensors, Bluetooth PAN transceivers to Smartphone gateway and Cloud based client SQL database access.

Role grew from a single $32M BU with 32 people to three product businesses with $122M+ in revenue with a staff of 90+.- As Product and R&D Manager of the Battery Management and Thermal Sensor BU drove the doubling of revenues of one of Maxim’s most profitable business units. This $61M organization provided proprietary solutions consisting of mixed-signal integrated circuits, software and board level products for the Battery Management and Thermal Sensor markets worldwide. New product introductions include: the DS600 Temperature Sensor winning AnalogZone Product of the Year; the DS2760, Electronic Products Product of the Year, leading the way for battery management solutions within the emerging Smartphone space. - Product and R&D Manager of the $88M Storage RTC/TCXO BU, a diverse product business unit with the product responsibility for proprietary high-speed SAS/SATA and TCXO/RTC software and hardware products utilized in the consumer, data storage and communications markets. Grew product offerings resulting in revenue expansion from $61M to $88M and achieved the number two position in the storage SAS/SATA expander market with leading high speed SERDES and software technologies. Led the acquisition of the Vitesse Data Storage products division. - Product and R&D Manager of the high-speed ADC/DAC converter and RF signal conditioning semiconductor product line. Responsibility included the management of four remote design centers. Markets engaged include Automotive, Telecomm, Medical and Data Network customers worldwide.

Facilitated a Market Assessment Process (MAP) justifying the economic viability of a battery business entity. Eight months following completion, as a fulfillment of the MAP, TI purchased the Unitrode/Benchmarq Corporation.

Director of Product Development: Defined industry leading, low-power, mixed-signal integrated circuits for the battery management market. Organized and managed a team of hardware and firmware engineers tasked with translating sales, marketing and customer inputs into products for an emerging market. Defined the bq2000: EDN Innovation of the Year.Staff Design Engineer: As a team member, contributed to all IC designs from company inception to IPO. Sole contributions included the definition and design of seven unique mixed-signal die types. Architected the proprietary microprocessor utilized in all Benchmarq battery capacity monitoring devices and authored the integrated software design tools (IDE) for those products.
