I worked as a Marketing Consultant for New England Outdoor Center where I developed and implemented $250,000 annual advertising and marketing budget for this four-season outdoor resort in Maine. New England Outdoor Center is Maine's largest outdoor resort offering cabin rentals, whitewater rafting, snowmobile rentals, campground facilities, guided hunting and fishing plus Moose Tours in 2 locations in Maine.As Marketing Consultant, I oversaw the development of a new corporate website, search engine optimization that allowed for significant cost savings versus pay-per-click search engine services, web based email campaigns, public relations, marketing partnerships with hotels for sales of NEOC whitewater rafting trips on a commission basis and consumer promotions with radio stations and regional retailers.New England Outdoor Center through its marketing efforts in 2003 generated over 13,000 new inquiries. While the overall tourism industry in Maine experienced declines of 6-10% in business in 2003, NEOC's overall sales exceeded sales for 2002 of over $2,500,000.00. NEOC’s new website generated 1,850 inquiries during 2003 worth 25% of new guest reservations booked in 2003 and revenues of $284,000. Inquiry to reservation conversion rate for Internet related inquires also increased from 14% in 2002 to over 19% in 2003. Traffic on NEOC’s website increased to approximately 23,000 visitor sessions monthly due to search engine optimization strategy that was implemented.

As CEO/President of NetWorks, I managed marketing and sales for Dialup Internet Access, Web Design, ECommerce and IT services to business accounts in the Raleigh, NC market. I was also responsible for integrating new technology services both operationally as well as in our marketing efforts on an ongoing basis. NetWorks was rated the fifth largest ISP in the Raleigh area in 1999 by Triangle Business Journal with over 7,500 customers. NetWorks expanded its services to include IT networking services in January 2000 and acquired the Triangle subscriber base of Lynxus, an Atlanta based ISP in September 2000. Additional services that were introduced 2000-2002 included broadband internet access including dsl, wireless and voice/data services plus coldfusion, sql and asp programming web development services.

At Capitol Sports Networks, I managed and planned all aspects associated with NASCAR network radio programming including marketing, operations, station affiliation, and promotion for Winston Cup Today, a daily 5 minute and weekly 30 minute NASCAR news program airing over 400 radio stations nationally with over 2,000,000 audience; Charlotte Motor Speedway Winston Cup and Grand National race broadcasts; and Benny Parsons weekly FastTalk program. Job responsibilities included design of sales materials, affiliation service agreements, development of databases for tracking of station affiliation and advertising sales efforts. external advertising and promotion and supervision of sales and support staff. I was also instrumental in finalizing an affiliation services agreement and expanding Capitol Sports Network’s business relationship with Charlotte Motor Speedway with network radio broadcasts for Winston Cup and Grand National race events in 1994.Revenues in 1995 were $959,000 with bottom line profit of $440,000 and with sales efforts resulting in complete sellout of race programming in 1995. I was also personally responsible for sales of over $500,000 that incorporated NASCAR motorsports programming as well as other radio network programming including the North Carolina News Network, NC State University, Duke University, Carolina Panther NFL and Washington Redskins NFL network radio programming.
