I'm Gene—born in Ukraine and immigrated to the US in the 90s with my parents and brother to build a better life. Inspired by the struggle of my parents, I grew to be ambitious, practical, trustworthy, and responsible. Driven by these qualities, I have become a strong deal-maker, team-builder, and business developer motivated to get things done and achieve my goals. I am always eager to learn and willing to work hard to ensure I lead by an example my family and I can be proud of.My entrepreneurial journey began in 2011 when I dove into real estate as a residential agent. I hustled my way up, eventually managing a Brooklyn office for a mid-size firm. Seeing an opening in the market, I transitioned into commercial real estate, expanding the company's market share and income opportunities. I transferred these skills to Commercial Acquisitions, where I set new sales and leasing records.In 2021, I moved to Palistar Capital, working on a hefty $1.95 billion fund as an Acquisitions Specialist, negotiating purchases of unconventional real estate assets. Shortly after, I was tapped to join Tri-State Commercial as the Sales Operations Director, playing a crucial role in the company's overall growth and success.Colleagues know me for my problem-solving skills, leadership, and knack for simplifying complex concepts. I've worn many hats, owning and advising various businesses across real estate, hospitality, tech, and logistics. I thrive on challenges, adapting to diverse environments while nurturing my passion for scaling businesses, building teams, and continuous learning.Brooklyn College set my foundation, but my thirst for knowledge led me to take master classes at CUNY CSI and engage in ongoing education through readings and online courses from esteemed institutions like UCLA and Columbia, as well as seminars from various thought leaders.Beyond the boardrooms and negotiations, you'll catch me exploring the world with my kids, seeking winding roads on my motorcycle, or actively involved in philanthropic endeavours.
