During recovery, manage timely flow of constituent and program information between Congressional Staffs and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Spent 5 months in New Jersey and 4 months in New York helping the recovery from Superstorm Sandy. Since then, deployed to help with SR530 Mudslide disaster in Oso, WA, and recently returned from New Hampshire helping five New England states recover from snowstorms. Prior to Sandy, deployed to help with recovery from hurricanes, severe storms, floods, and the Joplin tornado. Now deployed to Beaumont, TX.

In June, 2012, during a full-scale exercise I had created, planned, recruited for, and coordinated, 33 volunteers opened an Incident Command Post and 4 remote Field Treatment Centers providing disaster first aid to those injured by earthquake. 5th remote Field Treatment Center is now in place. Full-scale earthquake response exercise was run in September 2013 involving 71 volunteers, 2 fire departments, 2 remote hospitals, our 2 cities and the King County Office of Emergency Management.
