As a Training Coordinator my role is to define, organize and implement long or short courses to prepare young’s and adults for a technical career.I am a multidisciplinary and versatile person, interested in multiple fields of study with a Master’s degree in Business Management, my thesis is about Recruitment and Selection: Trainers Key-Competencies, case study.After 20+years in IT teaching and training I am currently working as a Vocational Training Coordinator in a well-known Vocational Training Center. Recently acquired an e-Trainer course and an Active Learning Sceneries course.I am responsible for: Trainers contracts and payroll; Young and Adult courses coordination; Create courses in our Concep Platform; Coordinate trainers/trainees activities on our Learning Management System -Moodle; Sell courses to companies.Early in my career I worked as a programmer developing bespoke business solutions to clients and more recently completed a Programming in Information Systems course in order to update my skills in programming, followed by a role where I was able to apply these skills in support of a company recruiting IT and BPO professionals.I am energetic, wholly reliable and bring a high degree of enthusiasm to each role that I undertake. I am continually looking to improve my contribution to organizations and to improve systems and processes to increase efficiency.     I was recruited into the newly formed operating organization at the startup of a new petrochemical plant in Sines, Portugal following my role within the construction of the plant. My immediate responsibility was to set up the document control system within the Engineering and Maintenance department, ensuring that all as built information was clearly identified and located and that all OEM information was suitably catalogued and indexed. I set up maintenance history files for all of the tagged items within the SAP Engineering Maintenance module and linked all spares to the tagged items. I was also responsible for raising purchase requisitions for all materials and services associated with the maintenance operation. Overall spend was €3M per annum. Together with the Engineering and Maintenance Director I developed a set of key performance indicators to be used as monthly metrics. I was responsible for collecting and validating the data collected and for producing a report that was presented to the board of Artlant each month.After a period during which the engineering and maintenance organization became established I was promoted to the role of cost coordinator. In this role I took responsibility of the estimating and cost monitoring and control for the annual maintenance budget, the overhaul budget and all project works. I measured the cost performance and effectiveness of contracted services and made recommendations where improvements in cost effectiveness could be made.Unfortunately Artlant suffered from significant funding issues and I was made redundant along with several other employees.
