As a lived-experience speaker, I share my story of mental ill-health as part of a workshop delivered by a facilitator. I speak for 10-15 minutes, focusing on what I have learned from my experience and how I care for my wellbeing. The workshops often have audiences of upwards of 100 students. On one occasion, I delivered a presentation at a parent forum.

With the aim to support secondary students to engage in four or more career related conversations through the life of the project, I work towards strengthening school attendance and Year 12 attainment as a result.

The School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) Officer supports the engagement of vulnerable children and young people in education through a partnership approach. My role supports schools and community organisations to work together to provide support to students from Grade 5 to Year 12 who are attending school but are vulnerable to or showing signs of.

As a Case Support Worker in the Integrated Family Services Team (IFS) at Merri Health I help individuals in at-risk communities. I support the families who are engaged with IFS and may be impacted by a physical or mental illness, disability, family violence, isolation, homelessness, alcohol and other drug use, and/or financial hardship, and may be engaged.

I am currently working on an independent research study exploring how sharing the journey through mental illness can shape young people's wellbeing, the manuscript was submitted as a postgraduate project and it obtained a high distinction grade. This study is done in collaboration between Griffith University and batyr. Key tasks:- Gathered and analysed.

• Administered baseline and post-assessments to young people and their parents/guardians
• Developed and facilitated group programs for young people in Year 6, as well as their parents/guardians and educators
• Developed and maintained effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinated a multidisciplinary team of facilitators and clinicians that were involved in the project
• Provided written and verbal feedback to clinicians, referees and families

• Liaised with the YACVic Policy Manager to review and develop the 2018 Election Platform, focusing on the current needs of young people across Victoria
• Co-developed a workshop on facilitation skills, which will be delivered to high-school students across Melbourne.
