Evaluating a digital equity program with qualitative research.

As a Solidaridad Intern at Student Action with Farmworkers, I spent an impactful academic year deepening my understanding of farmworker justice. Through weekly workshops, I gained hands-on experience in organizing, advocacy, and event planning. I collaborated with a passionate team, met worker rights advocates, participated in field trips, and contributed to SAF's mission by creating communication tools and organizing actions. This immersive internship equipped me with practical skills and insights into the challenges faced by farmworkers, enhancing my commitment to social justice.

As a Research Technician with NC State's Ecology Department, my role was updating a website focused on communication and research for outreach workers across North Carolina. My responsibilities included project coordination and implementation, contributing to the enhancement of communication tools and resources. This hands-on experience not only sharpened my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of the intersection between ecology, communication, and outreach.

During my role as a Court Advocate at U Care, Inc., I wore many hats. In addition to supporting survivors in court, I managed the organization's social media, keeping the community informed. I also helped in grant writing, contributing to securing resources for our crucial work alongside handling legal documentation filing. This multifaceted experience deepened my understanding of the issues surrounding domestic violence and expanded my skill set across various aspects of nonprofit work.
