If you could solve one problem in the world, what would be your top priority? Mine would be equity. Working towards equitable access to health, sanitation, education, green spaces, water, etc.My previous work experience as a Nutrition Specialist and a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher has given me a strong foundation in nutrition, health management, family finance, and culinary arts, with a focus on sustainable practices and wellness.However, after traveling around the world and entering the workforce, I developed a passion for learning about Public Health. During my Master's in Public Health (Aug 2024), focusing on Sustainability and Environmental Health, I gained the skills to apply scientific and social principles to enhance population health, reduce health disparities, and improve overall well-being.I am passionate about developing my professional career while also participating in programs that promote:- sustainability- food systems development - food accessibility- community development- accessible education I am a constant learner, avid runner, plant-based person, plant mom, sourdough baker, and coffee enthusiast.
