ABAC PH provides advice - recommendations for policy and regulatory reforms - to the Philippine government from a regional business sector perspective.My main tasks included conducting policy research and preparing the ABAC PH position on key issues on Future of Work, MSME access to finance, e-commerce, etc. which were presented to the PH government and to business sector counterparts from other Asia-Pacific economies. These required dialogues with executives from other APEC economies during international meetings, and with heads of key government agencies (esp. Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Foreign Affairs).Other aspects of my work included bridging international contacts to Philippine-based companies and organizations.I also helped develop and served as creator of the ABAC PH website (https://abac.ph/) during my stint. -

Part of my work included coordinating with key decision-makers in government, media, and academe to advocate for critical reforms that will enable the Philippines to take advantage of regional trade arrangements such as AEC and TPP. This included organizing high-level roundtable discussions and conferences among various stakeholders. I oversaw the production and publication of research studies by academic partners, and wrote primers to disseminate the studies' findings to mainstream audience. I also handled the administrative aspect of the entire project - from event organizing, budget proposals, and reporting.
