About Genevieve Ding

I believe in creating conditions for impactful change;I am passionate about creating sustainable economic, political & social impact at scale through innovation. With more than a decade of leadership in the public service with the Singapore Administrative Service, I started my career in the Foreign Service as a diplomat in Beijing. I worked closely with Singapore’s political leadership in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance and National Development to develop national policies on climate change mitigation, adaptation and finance; and national R&D, tech and enterprise policies to improve Singapore’s economic competitiveness in a sustainable way. I was a key member of the founding senior leadership team that conceptualised, developed and executed the fintech advisory initiative at the National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) Enterprise, now known as Money Owl. I then joined the private sector--Amazon to lead their sustainability strategy and carbon initiatives across APAC. I also sit on the Advisory Boards of various companies in the Sustainability space, including Carbon Impact X. I am also an Advisor at Teja Ventures on Sustainability and Technology. My passion for transforming mindsets for social good started almost two decades ago when I led humanitarian and social justice initiatives at Duke and Oxford. This led me to become an advocate for social and women’s issues as founding Chapter Leader for Lean In Singapore and as a Grassroots leader in the community and schools. I was also named one of Singapore's 50 change-makers under 35. Outside of work, I am a certified yoga instructor and New York Film Academy documentary filmmaker. I thoroughly enjoy solo traveling to document social issues, having been to 80 countries before I turned 30. More than anything else however, I love being a mother to my 3 children under 5c Henry, Heather and Harper.
