I am a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (C.N.O.) and a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse with the Canadian Nurses Association (C.N.A.). I have worked in hospital and community settings for more than twenty years. Over the years, I have been trained and supervised in various types of work with individuals, couples, families and groups. I have participated as a therapist in psychotherapy research and have delivered professional presentations on various subjects. For the past seven years I have been studying social work at York University, a program which emphasises anti-oppressive practice. As a human being, nurse, social worker, and psychotherapist, I am interested in integrated health and wellness; that is physical, mental, emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual wellbeing for myself, my friends, my family, and the clients with whom I work. I am also interested in responsible stewardship of this small blue planet on which we live and the animals, plants, and other forms of life with which we live.
