About Genevieve Bos

I am an entrepreneur, business developer and strategist, and my life has been a whirlwind professional journey, starting when I was 11 years old. As the child of a single mom, I had a natural draw towards entrepreneurship to help our family. Between juggling babysitting work, door-to-door sales and helping everyone I could who needed a hand, it would be fair to say that I was blessed with learning the value of supportive relationships very early on in life – the more you give, the bigger impact you make. As a tech exec, board member, and professional speaker, I encourage people to get more out of themselves to reach their full potential. All the while I have closed 100's of millions of dollars of fundraising and strategic business development deals for products and services to some of the world’s largest enterprises. I am a major connecter and love helping people get to where they want to go faster while making more friends along the way. Also, I am privileged to be a board member and/or advisor for some ground breaking tech companies like Optios.ai (unlocking the brain’s exponential capacity using proprietary neuroscience technology), Software Automation (sewing machine robots) and now AGI (3rd generation AI which is coherence based comprehension - think "Jarvis").Previously, I was the co-founder of Poplar, a fintech/crypto company that helps companies optimize their idle cash (we have just had 2 patents issued and expect 2 more). I was also the CEO and Co-Founder of IdeaString, delivering the world’s first social innovation and collaboration SaaS platform to reduce costs and optimize business processes. Customers included GE, Coca-Cola, and The Home Depot, and we sold the platform to GE in 2015. I was a co-founder and Publisher of PINK Magazine, launching in June 2005 to wide acclaim and 1 million readers who self-identified as "career women." An editorial about us in Forbes described it as “Fortune meets Oprah.” Every year our sold-out events across the nation featured America’s most influential women in business. I sold PINK in 2010. I was also a co-founder of ZapMedia and InfoGraphix, Atlanta-based tech companies. InfoGraphix transformed the digital large-format on-demand printing industry by delivering high-volume RIPs and we garnered 80% market share globally while ZapMedia created and licensed valuable IP in the on-demand digital entertainment industry.

  • Poplar
    Co-Founder & Chief Revenue Officer
    Poplar Jun 2021 - Sep 2023
We launched Poplar so businesses can Yield Every Minute on their idle cash and working capital. Most businesses have checking and savings accounts yielding close to nothing. Combined with increasingly high inflation rates, businesses are losing 100's of millions by not having a simple and cost effective way to make meaningful returns on their idle cash and working capital. Further, direct fixed-income investing has been inaccessible to most businesses because of the tedious, expensive and time-consuming requirements. Poplar is a high-yield sweeper SaaS technology that we call "Yield as a Service" - its automatically delivers 3-20% APY on idle cash and working capital into a suite of financial products. The platform also has a crypto option. Bank-grade security makes it safe to tap hard-to-access, high-yield DeFi smart contracts. With Poplar technology business customers can enjoy higher yields, full liquidity with built-in business rules. Poplar monitors the portfolio 24/7 by our suite of technologies that automatically pulls back any investment for almost every potential risk all with full trackability for tax reporting for each transaction in one intuitive, easy to use dashboard. The team at Poplar is waiting for the final patent approvals and will be licensing this technology to financial institutions.(2 already approved).
