I'm excited to begin my new role as CEO of Hands Across Canberra, the ACT's community foundation.As a journalist and communicator for almost 30 years, I've built a powerful voice in my community. I bring to my work intelligence, compassion, warmth and curiosity, and my deep local connections. In the 2021 Australia Day honours, I was awarded an AM for services to broadcasting and the community.I have an abiding passion for the arts and history, for the environment and for the many stories of my home in Canberra and regional Australia.I’ve chaired several advisory councils for the ACT government and sit as a director on a number of ACT and regional boards. I am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.I also chair conferences and major events at the local and national level for businesses and major institutions. I’m an accomplished MC and facilitator with exemplary communications skills and a wide network of contacts to draw on.
