As an Associate - Senior Project Manager for Beca I led teams that delivered up to AUD2.2M worth of engineering work on time and on budget. 5 of my 7 years at Beca were spent integrated in client teams or offices. I adapted to different work cultures, used new systems and I gained hands on experience in the water, mining and heavy industrial sectors, both on and off site.

As the Engineering Portfolio Team Leader of the Western Port site I managed and coordinated a team of 15 project managers, engineers and drafters. The majority of our projects were Operational Security related, hence mainly of an electrical and automation nature. I oversaw project delivery from conceptual studies through to implementation including planning, budgeting, approvals, reporting and forecasting. I managed stakeholder relationships with regular communication and a no-surprise approach.

The EPCM scope of works was focused on the completion works required for the estimated AUD 250M pilot plant (confidential project) to be integrated, commissioned and operated. As process lead my role was key in managing the interface between the technology provider, the other discipline leads and the stakeholders. I also managed the project delivery of a specific area of the plant.

Design Manager, Melbourne Water’s Water Resource Alliance (WRA). The WRA was a five year partnership between Baulderstone, UGL Infrastructure, Beca, SKM, MWH and Melbourne Water Corporation. The partnership delivered a program of work worth AUD 600M. I was the Design Manager for the detailed design phase of the $55M Grit and Screenings project at Melbourne Water’s Eastern Treatment Plant. I managed the design team for the complex multidisciplinary project which required a close collaboration within an engineering team of 25 spread across the Melbourne, Auckland and Sydney offices. I ensured the design and construction teams worked closely together, requiring clear and concise communication with designers, main contractor and sub-contractors.
