Update August 2022In February 2021 I took a part time contract (my choice) back with Medtronic, doing Software Design Quality Assurance, That ended July 2022, which leaves open for other contract work in the medical device industry.Update - Sept 2020.It turned out that Amgen wanted me back as a consultant in 2017 with a 3-year contract. Would be interested to do further consulting should the right opportunity pop up.Well, this is it for me - I retired from Amgen in October (2016). Got other cool things going, More miles on my bike in the past month than in the previous 5 years. Various computational recreations and of course sailing when ever the weather cooperates. Not to mention the various around-the-house projects, little and big. Could do some teaching/tutoring when/if the impulse and opportunity coincide.Since 2010, entered a career doing risk management for medical devices, assessing the potential risks to patients posed by drug delivery devices and identifying and evaluating approaches to mitigate those risks.
