Prior to joining REI Systems, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Concept Plus LLC of Fairfax, VA, President of Koniag Services, Inc. and Arlluk Technology Solutions, LLC both of Chantilly, VA. Mr. Zapfel led all aspects of strategy, sales, and delivery of information technology services and solutions. He also held executive positions at Unisys Federal Systems and Booz Allen Hamilton where he focused on revenue growth and business management within the Government Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence markets. With over 30 years of business management, Mr. Zapfel is an expert in managing complex organizations driving growth, strategy development and implementation, financial management, business operations, and solution development and delivery of information technology and consulting services.Mr. Zapfel has held executive positions in professional community organizations including the American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC) and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He also served as Trustee on the Board for United Through Reading which is a non-profit that supports military families globally. Currently, he is serving as a Committee Member on the Reston Home Owners Association which is the largest HOA in the nation.
