Responsible for acting as the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) Coordinator and leading CSIRT events from detection to closure. Coordinating technical teams during the event and communicating to leadership. Completing CSIRT checklists and documenting final analysis report. Completing an After-Action Analysis and documentation. Performing advanced Threat Hunting. Taking out if band Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and completing threat hunts for identified IOCs within the Ascension environment using tools such as Tanium, Cylance, Chronicle, Fortinet, etc.… Advancing triage of critical security events. Acting as an escalation point for critical system events. Creating and enhancing process workflows, playbooks, and processes to improve security response abilities. Working with team on developing new Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities and trends to improve incident response times and metrics. Responsible for implementing strategies to achieve Technical Operations, service, and financial goals. Ensure that all business plans are achieved through effective management of in-house and contracting resources. Establish and monitor clearly defined key performance indicators for all Technical Operations and personnel to support best in class customer service. Monitor and analyze all matters that impact the operational performance of AMITA Technology Partners (ATP) and take appropriate action to address any trends. Manage technical operations metrics, cost control initiatives and activity. Review and submit reports that provide critical data to drive ongoing operational performance improvement. Accountable for participating with financial management to plan and establish IT Operations budgets and forecasting goals. Managing a large Operations budget, including labor and capital expenses. Leading by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices and building strong cross-functional relationships. Ensure a comprehensive approach to monitor for anomalies and trends within function and across functions to determine potential impact to network, service, and customer experience with the ability to determine root cause and execute effective and expedient resolutions. Execute strategic plans to ensure the technical workforce is constantly engaged in learning and development to further enhance their ability to stay ahead of the competition and skilled in relevant technology.

Responsible for acting as project lead in the design and review of new server systems, applications, and hardware; conduct capacity planning as needed. Coordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the client/server environment in both the physical and virtual environment. Coordinate and collaborate with network, backup/storage engineering teams and clinical/business application administration groups to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of server infrastructure to meet business demands. Work with security team to establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure server security. Check service desk system for entries on server and server resource issues; prioritize and respond to service desk tickets as appropriate. Serve as a strategic contact for the escalation of server issues; provide timely response to customer inquiries. Perform file system configuration and management; define and document server backups and recovery needs. Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches. Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports. Manage enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure. Define and implement strategies for integrating disparate operating environments. Recommend and execute modifications to server environment to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance. Develop and maintain training materials and server documentation. Lead and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team. Act as a team lead and provide higher level engineering solutions as well as project management duties.

Responsible for supporting technical operations of Advocate’s core systems. Maintain multiple hardware platforms and operating systems for Advocate core systems at multiple locations including but not limited to system checks, daily maintenance tasks & performance monitoring. Participate in the execution of software and hardware testing and supporting documentation. Build, configure and test virtual & physical servers and work closely with the application owners & vendors. Maintain and monitor server backups. Apply necessary operating system patches and firmware upgrades. Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of the team’s on-call rotation schedule. Configure and support VSphere suite of products, XenServer, Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows Server Editions, Linux Server Editions, Cisco UCS blade chassis system, IBM & HP rack mount server hardware. Support Citrix XenApp farms & Citrix Provisioning Services servers. Provision LAN and SAN settings and work closely with Network and Storage teams. Lead Cisco UCS chassis deployments, lead Citrix WorkSpace project turnover to my team & lead POC and installation of virtual infrastructure monitoring system. Lead and mentor new & junior team members as needed.
