As a senior in the foreign service, I have focused on establishing safe and secure U.S. diplomatic operations in strategically critical foreign environments. My expertise is providing strategic leadership and operational rigor to complex global organizations who require thoughtful approaches and fast solutions to their physical and cyber security challenges.I have held a variety of posts within Diplomatic Security, including postings in Cairo, Tokyo, and Rangoon, and roles leading Physical and Technical Security, investigative liaison, and the Secretary of State's protective detail. Today as an Ambassador and Director of the Office of Foreign Missions, I am responsible for all foreign missions and international organizations operating in the U.S. My objectives are to protect public safety, and serve our national security interests by ensuring equitable treatment of U.S. diplomats serving overseas.In addition to my day job, I have served as a lecturer, instructor and collaborator with Chief Security Officers of the Fortune 500, Financial Services and Investment firms, non-profit and non-governmental organizations, and foreign law enforcement organizations, to improve their understanding of global counterterrorism activities and enhance their capabilities to protect U.S. personnel and businesses operating in their areas of responsibility.
