As a Welder and Technician in the Cryogenics department of City Machine & Welding, Inc., I perform the following duties:Troubleshoot, problem solve and execute solutions related to the structural, plumbing & cooling function of Cryogenic Helium Dewars. Weld with GTAW, GMAW processes on Carbon Steel (all forms), 304 Stainless steel (tubing, pipe, sheet, & plate), and 6063 Aluminum Alloy (sheet & plate).Helium leak test welds using vacuum pump and mass spectrometers. Use mass spectrometry to detect leaks on vacuum jacketed plumbing as well as the annular space of 11,000gal. vacuum jacketed/nitrogen cooled helium containers.
