Postdoctoral collaboration with Sean Willett and the Surface Dynamics Group at the ETH Zürich.Goals: Better understanding the evolution of topography in Cyprus and south Turkey, using two completely different approaches:- 2D thermo-mechanical finite element models of accretionary margins.- X approach to river basin disequilibrium analyses.

Researcher in the "Animal Perception of Seismic and Non-Seismic Earthquake Phenomena" project, lead by Dr. Wolfgang Straka (with Dr. Robert Faber and Dr. Teuku Reza Ferasyi, among others)Goal: Detailed study of the present-day tectonics and regional state of stresses, and geophysical parameters in relation to the Great Sumatran Fault in north Sumatra and offshore. The main tools used were DEM analysis and fieldwork.
