Geoff Button is currently recruiting and managing volunteers for Northwestern's annual Reunion weekend. He is also in the Master of Arts program at Northeastern Illinois University for Clinical Mental Health Counseling.He worked for years as an actor, director, casting director, and on the artistic council for the beloved Chicago theater company The Hypocrites, where he was both an actor and director. He also served for five years as the Associate Artistic Director of the acclaimed Writers Theatre in Glencoe IL, which The Wall Street Journal called "America's finest regional theatre". He received his M.F.A. in Theater Directing from Northwestern University and his B.A. from Western Michigan University in Theater Performance . As a teacher, he has worked as both an adjunct and full-time lecturer in Northwestern's Music Theater Certificate Program, as a lecturer in Theater and Music Theater at The Chicago Academy for the Arts, and as a Core Acting Teacher for The National High School Institute (AKA: Cherubs). Geoff served as the Associate Artistic Director of the acclaimed Writers Theatre in Glencoe IL, which Terry Teachout of the Wall Street Journal called "America's finest regional theatre". This position encompassed all of the Casting Director responsibilities for the theatre, but Geoff also played an integral role in every Writers' production, from season selection through opening night, as well as serving as lead artistic producer on Caryl Churchill's A NUMBER and Stephen Sondheim's INTO THE WOODS.
