I was employed as an Operations Duty Controller and Training Officer at London Heathrow Airport until recentlyThe Operations Duty Controller role had me looking after the shift by shift running of both the Operations and Ramp Services Departments in Terminal 2. Allocating manpower where appropriate for the safe & punctual turn round of customer aircraft.As the Training Officer, I was responsible thatall of the Operations staff remain current in areas related to their role, including DGR, AAA, H&S and strain New staff coming into the Operations/Disptach Department.I would also step in as a Flight Dispatcher, Load Controller where necessary. This potentially allow me to load plan aircraft both manually and via a computerised system.I am experienced in the following airline systems, Amadeus Altea & RTB, MACS, SITA, Sabre and CODECO.

I was employed initially as a Flight Dispatcher where I was responsible for the safe & punctual turnround of customer aircraft, Fokker 50, SAAB 2000, BAe 146, Avro RJ, Dornier 228 & 328, DHC Dash 8.I later took up a role of Supervisor, where I was responsible for looking after the department on a shift basis. The role consisted of being 1 of 3 staff, monitoring shift coverage, sickness and general administrative tasks.After carrying out this role I moved into a training . In this position I was responible for carrying out local departmental training, covering Security and Weight & Balance. I was also tasked with third party training.Reason for leaving. I began at Business Air as a Passenger Service Agent where my responsibility was for the safe and correct processing of passengers at both Check In and at the boarding gate. Check in was processed using both a manual and automated ronciliation system.I later moved to the Dispatch department where I was responsible for the safe and timely turnaround of customer aircraft, ensuring the safety & security of the aircraft was maintained at all times. I left Business Air when the station was closed down and I was made redundant.
