I've spent most of my working life in insolvency or working for the insolvency profession. I started as an insolvency administrator, after first qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and worked my way through to becoming an IP. After a number of years taking a variety of insolvency and turnaround appointments, I set up GGT Insolvency Recruitment to fill a gap in the market. Few, if any, recruitment specialists can claim to be 100% focused on recruiting for the insolvency and turnaround sector AND have worked as Insolvency Practitioners. We do and this, I believe, makes my business unique.I act for insolvency practices of all sizes across the UK, helping to recruit at all levels for the insolvency and turnaround profession. I also recruit IP positions across the UK. We have now also added a specialist insolvency practice merger and acquisition service under the GGT IP Solutions brand to help IPs find business partners.My knowledge of the roles that I am recruiting for (I have actually done most of them!) gives me a unique understanding that helps to match candidates with employers and practices with other firms. I am now supported by my co-director, Sheona, allowing me to concentrate on IP and other senior level appointment. For a number of years I was also a consultant, then a director, of Contract Recovery Solutions which also serves the Insolvency Profession and where I continued to utilise my insolvency knowledge and background to help the profession generally albeit from the outside!
