I have officially retired after 39.5 years in the steel industry. I have also helped co-authour a book with Jack Nicholas, Motor Electrical Predictive Maintenance and Testing available through Reliabilityweb.com.My career in the steel industry in Canada spanned 39.5 years, the last 18 in PdM with some huge successes using infrared, motor testing and ultrasonic technology. In dealing with the issues involved in starting and implementing a program I think I have something to offer. In pursuing that fact, of something to offer, I have started several blogs in the last year or so and have co-written a book with Jack Nicholas. I have tried to put forward my sincere belief that our manufacturing world has to move to a more proactive maintenance stance, they have to believe in the value their workers bring into the mix and we as workers have to believe we add value to any workplace we are in.I have presented papers at various conferences starting in 1996, so see the value of sharing based on the interactions at those conferences.Specialties: Predictive technology (since late 1994) - CMMS experience, capable in using all Microsoft office programs including Access.
