Tech lead for extensibility within the Consumer Identity Cloud (aka Auth0). We offer a class-leading a no-code through pro-code extensibility solution that allows our customers to solve last-mile problems that would otherwise be out of reach.

As the Technical Development Lead for Extend, I lead the technical direction for our low-latency, untrusted code execution platform. I work with technologies spanning all the layers of our unique stack. We use an AWS CloudFormation-based blue-green deployment model, to deploy our node.js runtime and management api. This runtime executes untrusted code in a docker-based sandbox environment.In my time on this team, I have shipped:1. A distributed scheduled job implementation that provides the underlying technology enabling several Auth0 Extensions.2. A low-latency system to build, store and attach any requested npm module to our docker container runtime environment.

Responsible for performing business valuations in a variety of contexts including financial reporting, tax reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions.• Managed the development of financial models according to client needs in the mining and metals sector. Worked closely with client executives to develop requirements, to identify challenges and to understand key results of sensitivity analyses. Presented final model and results to executives, board members and external analysts. Worked with executives to prepare press release and other public documents relating to financial projections.• Designed a business model that allowed a major Canadian municipality to evaluate different procurement strategies for several infrastructure assets in the context of a potential public-private partnership.• Performed various purchase price allocations for public company acquisitions and challenged management’s assumptions on acquired intangible asset values and financial projections.• Re-imagined the workflow and tools used by teams across North America to document results in EY’s largest ever project. Designed new tools and processes that were deployed to an entire workstream that significantly increased both the speed and accuracy of work.

Responsible for executing on mandates in the risk advisory space. Experience includes diverse projects directed at identifying, quantifying and managing risk at a number of major Canadian companies and institutions. These projects covered different levels of risk as manifested at the enterprise level through to the process level.• Co-authored a report on leading practices in Enterprise Risk Management across Canada in the Casino and Gaming industries.• Built an Excel-based reporting and reconciliation tool and deployed a business process across all North American subsidiaries of a large forestry company that facilitated the resolution of many years of accumulated unreconciled inter-company transactions. These remained in active use as a reporting tools for several years until the implementation of a new accounting system.• Authored several internal articles to give a gentle (and humorous) introduction to some of the more difficult concepts in Excel.
