As the Head of Analytics, I play a critical role in leveraging data to inform strategic decision-making and support the mission of Catholic Schools NSW across various domains, including academic, demographic, financial, and communication.Responsibilities include: - Board Reporting - Compile and present analytical insights and key metrics to the board members. - Demographics Analysis - Conduct in-depth analysis of demographic data to understand student populations and trends, providing insights into demographic shifts that may impact enrolment or resource allocation. - NAPLAN and HSC Reporting - Manage the analysis of NAPLAN (National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) and HSC (Higher School Certificate) data. Generate reports on school and diocesan performance, trends and areas for improvement based on NAPLAN and HSC results. - Enrolments Reporting - Developing enrolment reports to track enrolment numbers, trends and projections. Analyse enrolment data to identify patterns and inform strategic decision making related to admissions and capacity planning. - Recurrent funding reporting - tracking recurrent funding trends, including government funding, school fees, capacity to contribute and capital funding. Develop recurrent funding scenario analysis models based on my knowledge of the Australia Education Act. - Supporting teams internally - Provide analytical support to various teams with CSNSW including academic, administrative and operational departments. -Supporting Schools and Dioceses - Offer analytical support to individual schools and dioceses within the network. Provide guidance on data interpretation, analysis techniques, and best practices for utilising data to drive improvements in educational outcomes. - Supporting the Media Team - Collaborate with the media team to provide data-driven insights when responding to media enquires.

Responsibilities include: - Becoming a subject matter expert in government recurrent funding for schools in New South Wales. - Developed and maintained the school recurrent funding model for 11 dioceses and 550 systemic Catholic schools in New South Wales, covering the period 2019-2023, ensuring accuracy, transparency and alignment with organisational objectives. - Cultivated and nurtured relationships with all key stakeholders pivotal to the school funding process, including the Commonwealth Government, NSW State Government, NSW Catholic School Dioceses, Independent Catholic schools and the CSNSW Board. - Provided tailored training sessions and expert advice to stakeholders, empowering them with insights and guidance to navigate complex funding regulations. - Exhibited a profound understanding of the intricacies of the Australian Education Act, leveraging this knowledge to inform decision-making processes.
