Responsible for managing a respected industry leader in the mechanical repair and Major Inspection of EWP’s, Crane Borers, Vehicle Loading Cranes, Trucks, Scissor lifts and associated equipment used in the electricity, rail, telecommunications and fire service as well as vegetation management industries.

Responsible for managing key infrastructure support service: plant and resource hire, motor fitters and the infrastructure fleet (plant, trucks and vehicles) to facilitate the completion of planned maintenance and renewals works.Key responsibilitiesManagement of fleet (trucks and vehicles, including road rail vehicles worth $30m) covering procurement, operational condition and risk/compliance.Management of plant and resources supply/procurement ($50m) to support infrastructure delivery functions to achieve maintenance and renewal objectivesImprove systems and control processes and procedures that govern the plant and resources department.Develop section plans to support the annual works plan via planning of plant and resources to meet demand, and meeting the utilization targets.Support lean improvement direction by implementation of practices into sections areas to improve operations and build a culture of best practice.Develop initiatives to support organizational improvement to meet challenges in the future.Manage and develop a team of 20 personnel.

Responsible for the daily management of 1,100 vehicles and 200 forklifts nationally. Sole responsibility for bringing fleet management operations in house and developing all IT systems to support this task.
