Established a securitization business in the Canadian market for Japan’s largest financial institution. This included the development of the necessary legal structure, dealer relationships, rating agency approvals, operating practices and transaction origination. Responsible for execution of synthetic lease transactions as well as the origination and execution of securitization transactions with US corporate clients. Originated and executed in excess of $2 billion in transactions in the Canadian conduit making it the largest foreign bank sponsored conduit in Canada. Pioneered conduit structure to include independent issuance of R1 (high) and R1 (middle) series of notes so that a broader range of transactions could be completed thus increasing profitability.
