From July 2010 I was in the position of Regional Manager covering four depots in the South with responsibility for 80 vehicles and circa 110 members of staff.

Depot Manager of a depot consisting of 35 vehicles covering London, Essex, Kent and Sussex.To manage a fleet of vehicles according to legislation and in the most cost effective manner ensuring all relevant records are kept in line with ministry requirements, Being the O license holder.Ensure all product is delivered on time within agreed kpi's and within cost limits.

Manage a team of 41 drivers. Monitor and control operating costs.Ensure operational and legal compliance is achieved and maintained to protect company from risk and loss. Monitor and drive improvements of customer service standards versus targets.

Manage the recruitment, retention, training and development of a team of drivers and couriers to achieve agreed objectives and KPI's.To manage a fleet of vehicles according to legislation and in the most cost effective manner ensuring all relevant records are kept in line with ministry requirements. Monitor, evaluate and manage unit performance, manage absence, taking appropriate action through coaching and disciplinary actions to ensure performance standards are met/maintained.Monitor and drive improvements of customer service standards versus targets.Monitor and control operating costs.Initiate change to deliver business improvements.Manage effective employee relations in accordance with company policy and Trade Union.Ensure operational and legal compliance is achieved and maintained to protect company from risk and loss.Conduct Health & Safety training, keeping accurate records of training history. Compile risk assessments and conduct monthly H & S meetings in line with company procedure.

Responsible for ensuring vehicle maintenance and service records.Staff training-increasing efficiency.Compilation of statistics.To enter records on an in-house database.
