My journey has been diverse—competing in international athletics, leading teams in defense of freedom, and now building a product that brings joy across generations.Entrepreneurship holds a special place in my life. I learned its value from my father during the economic struggles of the early 1980s. When many would have waited for a lifeline, he courageously stepped up, offering a service our community needed. That resilience—what we call "Weber scrappiness"—is in my soul.Some may label my range of interests as ADHD, but autism gives me the focus and analytical mindset to make ideas work. I’m passionate about solving problems and supporting others, whether by tackling injustice, mentoring youth, or helping bring someone’s joyful invention to life.Today, we’re facing a different challenge—disconnectedness. Despite the internet’s vast infrastructure, most applications don’t deliver on the promise of a truly positive, connected community. Broadcast social media often falls short. That’s why I see private social networks as the future: platforms where meaningful communities are built, trusted, and shared.Private networks enable us to exchange cherished memories with those who matter most. Whether with family, close friends, or communities with shared interests, these networks bring us closer and let us relive moments that elevate our spirit and strengthen bonds. Science backs this—memories release oxytocin, deepening our connections and making us feel alive.I founded Heirloom with a vision: to reconnect people with their priceless memories and with each other. Heirloom is a platform where you own your data, from photos to videos to the new experiences they inspire. We are simply here to safeguard those treasures.The problem of disconnectedness is enormous, but preserving the world's memories through a secure, meaningful network is a solution worth pursuing.
