In 1999 I took the drastic decision to leave my first year of university, to co-found Azexis - a web design agency. Azexis began life in my bedroom as a modest two man operation designing basic websites.Fast forward to 2010 and still suffering the aftermath of the economic crash I took another risky decision: to change our business model and develop Evance.it - an e-commerce software as a service. The bespoke web design and development market, which had become synonymous with the Azexis brand, was increasingly out of reach for SMEs and cloud was clearly the next generation of both technology and affordability. We had to be there! It took 3 years, £0.6million, blood, sweat and tears (in the form of hospitalisation) till Evance.it became a reality in 2013.Today Azexis operates from our own 3 floor 17th Century building on the Ipswich waterfront area. Evance.it forms over 90% of our operations for both existing and potential customers alike. I am very excited to head the Evance.it project, which continues to gain momentum with a growing community of subscribers. I have made it my personal mission to elevate Evance.it through great user interface design, continual architectural evolution at the core level, and to build Evance.it as a recognised e-commerce vendor.My dedication to UI/X has had some unforeseen side effects, and have been approached by several software companies to help redevelop their own user interface experiences.
