Founded TechLeap, initially as an organisation to help communities learn about exponential technologies and their impact, and how to adapt to rapid change, before focusing more on sustainable technologies.I have provided professional development, as a Ministry of Education-accredited PLD facilitator, to schools and other organisations, since 2017, consulting with schools around the digital strategy and curriculum, and running workshops for staff, 1-on-1 training, and co-teaching in the classroom with students.The first initiative was a weekly Digital Tech Club for tweens & teens. Started in Cambridge, Waikato, in 2017, the club expanded to 4 clubs in 2018, with 1 in Te Awamutu and 2 in Kirikiriroa (Hillcrest & Rototuna). Termly topics included "Creating 3D Worlds for VR/AR", Electronics, and Web Development. We stopped in 2020, when Covid made getting together difficult.I started Repair Detectives ( repairdetectives.com ) in 2019 to focus on repair education, initially as a hands-on programme for schools, and this has continued to change and grow, including an after-school club started in Cambridge in 2024.Happy Phones ( happyphones.nz ) came out of my voluntary work with Urban Miners, rescuing phones and tablets from community e-waste collections in Cambridge and Te Awamutu, with the aim of repurposing them for use in school classrooms. After initial trials of phone kits in Term 2, 2023, I created a more attractive Happy Phones kit with resources for students and teachers, and these were tested with 10 Waikato schools and kura.

Had a great year building colonial-styled cottages for takeaway, in Clareville, just outside of Carterton, Wairarapa, NZ with a fantastic view of the Tararuas.Highlights: building a house from start to finish with eco-friendly materials; watching the yard turn into a lake in July floods; working with a great bunch of characters.

Regular rehearsals, seated & marching performances and tours throughout NZ. Part-time.

Taught classical piano through the Suzuki method, and jazz piano. Performed in numerous jazz duos, trios, quartets and big bands as a pianist and vocalist.
