Quantitative Medicine is a computational biology company commercializing advanced, big data analytics technologies that reduce the amount of research in the initial phases of drug discovery and development. Quantitative Medicine's machine learning system efficiently directs experimentation concurrently across numerous targets, safety evaluations and experimental modalities. Targeting experimentation to gather only the most essential information dramatically reduces the time, cost and risk of drug discovery and development.Worked in all aspects of the company's start-up, including developing a business plan, industry analysis, market research, grant writing, website, sales collateral materials, due diligence information and organizational systems.Quantitative Medicine closed a second round of funding and moved headquarters from Gainesville to Pittsburgh to take advantage of the community/university relationships with Carnegie Mellon University, the source for QM's intellectual property.

• Project manager and member of the statewide Hospital Surge Capability Team leadership group.• Enhanced methods to analyze health care disaster response capacity, including a dashboard for the state level health and medical emergency support function (ESF-8). Developed a pilot decision support system for a county ESF-8.• Researched disaster response uses of knowledge management and social media technologies. Developed web based mutual aid resources, a pilot wiki and SharePoint sites.• Hospital Liaison to 24 hospitals in the 13 counties of the NE Florida Domestic Security Task Force for all DOH related funding and activities. Facilitated disaster response planning and training with county health department planners, healthcare providers and related agencies.• Tracked developments in emergency management and bio-terrorism field, created operational plans and provided related training. Facilitated development of statewide, pandemic influenza plans and support information for ESF-8.• Disaster response incident command experience included state level ESF-8 situation unit member during the 2008 hurricane season, the H1N1 pandemic and the Gulf Oil Spill. ESF-8 Planning Section Chief of Florida’s State Emergency Response Team deployed to Mississippi after Katrina. County health and medical incident command during 2004-2005 hurricanes.

Assisted in all aspect of startup of UF Exec, including: • developed and managed on-site and distance education programs, • sold programs custom designed for industry clients, • researched US and Latin American markets.

• Conducted strategic and service line planning for twelve hospitals in five states. Dealt directly with board, physicians, staff and outside groups. This included medical staff development, performance benchmarking and developing managed care strategy. • Developed physician hospital organizations and integrated delivery systems with single hospitals and regional networks in five states. Included working with local purchasers, design of legal structure, provider network, risk sharing arrangements, medical management and performance improvement systems. • Created and delivered training for physicians, boards and staff, as well as, developed workshops, surveys, training and other consulting services for delivery by associates. • Supported internal corporate planning.
