I work in the Medidata Data Fabric group, evaluating novel and interesting ways to satisfy customer needs. We work on a range of strategic initiatives including mHealth and EHR as well as novel approaches to business problems. I have utilised a wide range of approaches and technologies such as Python (Django/Flask), Semantic Technologies, XML, Javascript, Go and Java. I am a GitHub administrator for the mdsol organisation and lead an internal user forum. I maintain the open source projects rwslib, requests-mauth, go_mauth_client and flask-mauth. I have presented at many international conferences on topics including Semantic Technologies, CDISC, Big Data, Data Management and Electronic Health Records. I have helped organise international usergroup meetings. I am interested in FHIR and have multiple Clinical Research Streams at HL7 FHIR connectathons and presented at a FHIR DevDay. I have both led and worked in many industry groups addressing a diverse range issues such as standards development/adoption, technology adoption and interoperability.I love working on innovative solutions and prototypes using a wide array of approaches (from both a technical and process standpoint). I am an excellent communicator and often fulfill a SME role bridging the gap between technical and non-technical people.
