My name is Geoff Magliocchetti, and I'm a lot better at writing about the game than actually playing it.One of the most worthwhile exploits as a sports journalist has been my foray into the WNBA. I’ve learned a lot as the beat writer for the New York Liberty for two organizations (Elite Sports New York and WNBAInsidr). The league has been very inspiring and definitely an organization on the rise. I have covered the Liberty since May 2018 and have since earned exclusive interviews with several prominent league names like Hall-of-Famer and Liberty head coach Katie Smith, Liberty All-Star and MVP Tina Charles, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, and several others. I have been blessed with some steady work and unique on-location experiences with Elite Sports New York. As a member of the Pro Football Writers Association, my primary duties center on the New York Jets. I began covering the Jets in fall 2018, after spending two seasons in the New York Giants facility writing for the bi-weekly publication The Giant Insider.Prior to the pros, I studied for four years each at Don Bosco Preparatory High School and Marist College. After several years on the Ironmen and Red Fox football teams, I embarked onto my new path of journalism. I had done some writing on the side during my time on the field, but my foray officially began in college with the Marist Circle. Since my college graduation in 2014, I have written for several outlets covering numerous local teams on both the amateur and professional levels.Seeking full-time work, but keeping active in reputable part-time roles.
