Discussed the impact the new regulations will have on the offshore drilling industry.-Wind Energy Cost ModelCreated an offshore wind farm financial cost model, comparing a 500 MW monopole structure farm to a similar capacity floating offshore wind farm. Concluded cost per MW is not competitive with cost of energy from natural gas without government subsidies and mass production of wind farm infrastructure and equipment.-Gas Pipelines Risk Analysis Created a database of gas pipeline projects in the US, evaluated the data to generate a ‘risk register’ based on the cost overruns of gas pipeline projects. Analyzed mitigation methods to decrease the probability of such cost overruns to occur.
