Pronounced: JAWF-ree KOAMZBeginning in May of 2024, I begin my new career with Infotech, working remote, much to the happiness, and chagrin of my Great Dane, Geronimo.After a long hiatus, I returned, and finished as a student to the University of Florida. I spent the Fall of 2023 and Spring of 2024 as a full time student. During this period, I also worked at PunkOuter games, one of my third spaces I frequent.For ten months, I worked in the Quality Assurance department at the High Springs Florida BlueTriton Brands plant. I learned about water quality, and how to ensure that Zephyrhills, Deer Park, and Pure Life brands are safe and potable. My training is including HAACP, microbiology lab work, and updating both SOP and VWI to eliminate tribal knowledge that is pervasive in the workplace.Prior to that, for nearly nine years, I worked for Royal Philips at Invivo, in Gainesville, Florida. Unfortunately, the job was outsourced overseas, and I was put back into the job market.At Invivo, I started in mechanical assembly, where I worked as a lead over a team that saw to the 'final touches' put onto MRI machines before they were sent out to customers after repair and refurbishment. There I updated official workflow documents, managed workers in the department making sure they were in the best positions to do the job efficiently, and coordinated with other departments to minimize conflict. I then took a job with Quality Assurance for the final four years there, where I inspected MRIs and associated products and paperwork. This involved inspection of the coils both inside and out, ensuring that our customers got the best products available to them. Other responsibilities included making sure that the tests, paperwork, and appearance for the coils was top notch. My superiors also called upon me specifically in assisting onboarding new employees to our department.Overall, I would have gladly stayed with that company, had the world been different. That said, my experiences and knowledge base that I developed there make me a good hire for any company looking for quality assurance personnel. I look forward to picking up where I left off, and continuing to grow in the field, with a different business.
