Responsible for the migration of all point of entry data from 56 legacy databases into a single central Oracle database.This role reported to the Project Manager responsible for the implementation of a central system for the management and recording of all parties seeking entry to the United Kingdom. The role involved management of the migration of data from all legacy Point of Entry systems into the central system.The tasks of this role were as follows:• Produce data migration strategies and specifications for the migration of data from existing sources to both the current and long term development projects.• Provide support for resolution of data integrity problems in existing systems.• Produce and run data cleaning projects for existing data.• Total responsibility for the migration of data from point of entry databases to new central system.• Specification and delivery of reports to support a 30-strong data entry team.• Management of staff involved in migration.

Responsible for the application architecture design for a number of SDH Management Projects in the UK, these roles included:Data Migration and Capture. Responsible for the design and implementation of software to capture network configuration data for loading into the databases of the Network management systems. The data has been captured from a number of sources including legacy systems, Oracle database and direct from other real time systems.Also responsible for the production of data clean-up and conversion strategies for the successful transfer of data into the management systems.Alarm Reporting. On a number of projects in Nortel I have delivered reporting capability – from design through to delivery to provide users with accurate information from the large alarm database.Testing. Responsible for the production of test acceptance documentation for the testing of modules provided by various telecommunication vendors.
