Founder And PresidentVillas 136, Llc May 2012 - PresentScottsdale, AzIn conjunction with local and international joint venture partners, Geoffrey Becker-Jones launched Villas 136, LLC to purchase and redevelop an 8.85-acre site (7.83 acres net) located north of the northeast corner of 136th Street and Via Linda in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the base of the prestigious Scottsdale Mountain community. Mr. Becker-Jones is responsible for leading and overseeing all pre-development and development activities for this project, including land acquisition; financial structuring and capital/construction financing; market research; marketing, sales, and communications tactics; project development; coordination of all technical architectural, landscape architectural, and interior design; short- and long-term marketing and sales planning and coordination; and community operations. He is also providing top-line assistance with investor sourcing and capital/construction financing raise. Mr. Becker-Jones initiated the non-major General Plan Amendment (GPA) and rezoning process and led the GPA through a unanimous approval vote from the Planning Commission and a near-unanimous approval by Scottsdale’s City Council, thereby clearing the way for Villas 136 to redevelop the existing commercial property and establish in its place Beaufort at Scottsdale Mountain, an upscale gated residential community of 81 luxury one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas with an anticipated average size of 1,815 square feet. The community will include an amenities building comprising a fitness center, social lounge, pool and spa, as well as common outdoor areas appropriate for small social gatherings.Demolition of the existing structures on the site is expected to begin as early as July 2014, with vertical construction scheduled to begin in December 2014. The first two buildings, comprising 16 units total, will be available for occupancy by September 2015.

After a consortium of Spanish developers acquired the property, Salvago was appointed as the project developer and the property’s representative in Mexico. Global Resorts Group, and specifically Mr. Becker-Jones, was then retained to assist Salvago with the implementation of necessary management, operational, and budgetary changes and efficiencies.Subsequently, as Project/Team Leader and Director of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Becker-Jones reported to Salvago for the following work priorities and responsibilities:• Assistance and compliance with the approved annual business plan and budgets• Master planning and phase 1 real estate and resort product design • CC&Rs and master design guideline refinements• Club membership structure and legal documents• Sales and marketing activities and Mexico/international alliances• Investor/developer information presentations to promote investment and development• Bulk land/lot sales program• Considerations to construction management services• Asset and staff management• Golf course construction project manager The first nine holes of a Jack Nicklaus “Signature” course are fully playable; the second nine holes were under construction until the economic downturn. Director - Construction Quality Control Las Palomas Seaside Golf ResortWorldwide Group Aug 2006 - Sep 2007Puerto Penasco, MexicoIn August 2006, Worldwide Group commissioned GRG, and specifically Geoffrey Becker-Jones, to assist with construction and development activities for this 350-acre master-planned resort community — one of the largest destination resort communities in Mexico. This beachfront property comprised three phases of residential “towers” (consisting of approximately 1,550 units altogether), an 18-hole golf course and 500 additional residential home sites situated on and around the golf course, a 400-seat conference center, two restaurants, and other amenities. GRG’s contractual responsibilities were to reorganize and make improvements in the area of construction and quality control for all phases of the development, with particular focus on the condominium towers (and condominium units) construction quality and delivery. This entailed exhaustive research not only of the market, but also research into planning, development, branding, financing, and operations for the community’s main components and all other associated facilities, amenities, and infrastructure.
